Mahalaxmi Mandir Kelshi

Mahalaxmi Mandir is situated at the foot of Utamber hills. Around 3 km from the village Kelshi. It is built during the Peshwa era. It has eight feet tall stone wall compound around the sides. The main entrance has Nagarkhana. The Peshwa era architecture makes it very close to the heart of Maharashtrian people. There is a temple with a Shivling inside. A pond with steps, Pushkarni, is also built near it. The devotees get a special experience of calmness & purity here.

The Nagarkhana for playing clarinets enchants you at the entrance. There is a Pushkarni inside, with a variety of lotus flowers blossoming here. Surrounded greenery is smoothening at the temple. There are two domes, one is the goddess Mahalakshmi Mandir where the idol of the goddess is Swyambhu (self-created), other is the place for the prayers.
