Description
Located in a small village called Kasba, this temple is a perfect blend of history, architecture, and scenic environment. It is a part of the ancient temple complex built nearly 1000 years ago and showcases Panchayatana style. The beautifully carved stone walls and outstanding sculptural design are beautiful examples of Hemadpanthi Architecture style. This complex consists of three structures devoted to Lord Karneshwara, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ravi. This entire complex is built in basaltic stone and probably is the only complex of this style in Southern Konkan. Its wholesome ancient aura is a must experience for all kinds of travel enthusiasts
Locals believe that the temple was built by Pandavas. Karneshwar temple complex is best example of Hemadpanthi Architectural style. As this complex is entirely built in basaltic stone, it is best to avoid visiting it between 12 pm to 4 pm in summer. This complex and entire courtyard becomes very hot and is difficult to walk on
