Description

Someshwar is said to build along with 360 other temples nearly 1000 years ago. Only a few of these architectural wonders remain and Someshwar is one such beauty. It has beautiful stone carvings and like Marleshwar this temple is surrounded by lush green hills.

This temple is famous for its two sanctums, one top on the other. The lower sanctum hosts Shivlinga while the top one has the idol of Lord Ganesha

Along with the stone carvings and the scenic beauty. It is mainly famous for its dual sanctum, one top of the other. The lower sanctum is devoted to “Lord Shiva” and holds a Shivling, while the top sanctum is devoted to “Lord Ganesha” and holds the idol of Lord Ganesha. The sanctum stands on exquisitely Carved stone pillars while the assembly Hall stands on intricately carved wooden pillars. The temple gives a soothing and wholesome aura in and around it
